This day i decided to go for a something a little different and decide to
add chai spices to my pancake batter.
I love to
add chai spices to a lot of my recipes and also include a little ground black pepper.

We also love drinking hot

spiced apple cider and we've now
added these Instant Pot Steel Cut Oats into our repetoire.
Add the masala

adding some cacao nibs sometimes, usually about a heaping tablespoon, and reducing the
spices, for a delicious chocolate
chai.
I also
added in 2 tsp
chai spice with the dry ingredients.
The leftover
spices can be used to make a second batch of
chai syrup, simply
add them to another 5 cups of water and 1/2 cup raw sugar.
The
chai spices definitely kick the flavor up a notch from your usual plain granola without
adding any additional calories.
In a pot, over medium to low heat,
add the milk and the
chai spices.

Chai Nut Butter:
Adding the warm
spices of
chai (cardamom, clove, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla) to hearty peanut and almond butter may seem like it's going to be overkill, but it works: Each of the components is present in each bite, but they don't overpower one another.
I played around with the
spices a bit, amped up the cardamom for that
chai flavour, and then
added a vegan crumble to the top.
Eggnog already has nutmeg, so
adding the
spices used in masala
chai just enhances the flavor.
I
added 1 tsp of this
chai spice blend to the crust I just ordered on etsy and it put the tart over the top!
When I want a gorgeous
spiced chai latte I simply heat some macadamia milk (you can make your own) froth it with a hand held milk frother and
add a spoon of the
chai mixture into an infuser and let it steep.
I also used
chai (tea bags) for the tea, and thought it
added a nice flavor and went well with the
spices in the cake.

The Whole
Spice Matcha
Chai Latte is made with traditional
chai spices that include Turmeric, Ginger, Cinnamon, and Peppercorn on top of which we
added the most potent form of Green Tea: the superfood Matcha.
Once I've made these two things, I then take out a big pot and put into it about 2 - 3 cups of tea, 1 - 2 cups of this cream and a litre or so of half - almond milk, half coconut milk, along with some sugar - free chocolate, cocoa (or cocoa and cacao butter), sweetener,
spices (like
chai spice), flavorings like vanilla or caramel, salt (I always
add a little salt to most sweets, it balances the flavor)... basically anything you think will be good in a [quote] mocha [/ quote] type drink (I even put small amounts of maca and other medicinal mushroom powders to up the nutritional value - but just a little, to avoid bitterness).
My recipe for the mushroom tea uses 2 tbsp chaga pieces (small chunks sort of the size of rice or lentils), 5 - 6 medium reishi slices, a small piece of rehmannia root, 1 tbsp or so of green stevia leaf (the dried herb), a 1/2 cinnamon stick or some
chai spice & any other herbs I feel will complement these, all
added to 2 litres of water).
Lapsang Souchong, a smoked black tea from the Lapu Mountain region of south - east China,
adds smoky mystery to the pinewood flavor of Bolivian cacao, while our own house blend of
chai spice leaves an aromatic finish.
The
chai spice studs this with warmth and the bosc pears
add a creamy brightness that simply can not be outdone.
I sip on
chai tea and
add spices to my coffee, and think about making healthier, warm, baked goods.
