Question for you, however — if you wanted to boost the flavour of the chocolate by
adding some espresso powder, would you simply add it to the cocoa powder and work it in or would it need to be added at a different time?

So, after mentally contemplating

Adding the espresso defeated the purpose of using a really good milk chocolate, which I wanted as the dominant taste.

I love my brulee it's a ready day standard recipe for vanilla brulee but
I add espresso and khalua for the adults at a night time gathering.
So for this cookie, I started by melting the butter, then
I add my espresso powder to it and stir until blended, it will look like dark espresso butter soup.

You don't want to
add the espresso and honey in too early because the liquid in the honey may cause the oils from the almonds to clump together, leaving you with almond butter that is lumpy and difficult to spread.
Never thought to
add espresso as an ingredient for almond butter.

As far as incorporating coffee, the best way to do that would be to

adding milk or extra water, is needed for American - style drinks.

I also made the additions of 1/2 tbsp orange zest and 1/4 tsp

add some zing and bring out the chocolate flavor.
Fold in dry ingredients and beat 10 seconds, then stop machine and
add in chocolate chips and

I thought it might be just the thing to temper the sweetness of the tart filling a bit, especially since Dorie recommends
