The audio commentary by director Danny Boyle is probably the DVD's only highlight, while
an additional commentary track (by Dr. Brian Cox from the University of Manchester) is probably about as interesting as one of his lectures.

THE DVD As intensely likable as Reality Bites is (the impromptu dance to «My Sharona» in a mini-mart is irresistably daffy), within the DVD's section of seven deleted scenes (the
commentary track and featurette indicate
additional omissions still in the vault) lurks a richer, if darker, movie with less of a studio glaze.
Foreign language
tracks in French and now Spanish are presented only in 2 - channel Dolby Surround (192 Kb / s), as is the ported - over audio
commentary (again) and a seemingly pointless
additional English
track which is also included.
There's no
commentary track here, but who needs one when you get to see 40 minutes» worth of
additional footage spread out over 24 fabulous deleted scenes.
