The consultations highlighted critical issues for agreement making directed to economic and social development outcomes, including the need for: effective community decision making structures and community engagement with the process;
adequate time and resources for capacity development; creative ideas for sustainable economic development; support for outcomes beyond the
legal framework; positive relationships; and underlying
infrastructure such as health, roads and education to be guaranteed by governments.
