All assessments were conducted in English or Spanish, with
the adolescent selecting their language preference, by trained interviewers using laptop computers to record responses.
Due to the full family design and intense data collection, which requires a firm grip of the Dutch
language, only
adolescents who were identified by teachers as being of Dutch origin were
selected (N = 3,237).
