While it's easy to get swept up
in the excitement of
adopting a
rabbit, it's important to make sure a pet
rabbit is a good fit for your family, home, and lifestyle.
So
in the spirit of spreading awareness, here are a few benefits of
adopting a pet
rabbit from a rescue or shelter.
We care for and
adopt small animals like
rabbits, guinea pigs and mice
in addition to cats and dogs.

adopt small animals come down to the shelter at 2825 Longley Lane
in Reno — we're open 7 days a week and we often have
rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets and more.
As of Sept. 4, 32
rabbits have been
adopted into the community, 47 have been transferred to other rescues and animal welfare partners, and 48
rabbits are now available for adoption both at the shelter and
in surrounding PetSmart stores.
In August of 2011, Pet Food Express opened a Cat Satellite Adoption Center at their Market Street store for ACC to
adopt out cats and
rabbits.
