An
adoption decree is an official document or court order that legally establishes a person or couple as the legal parent(s) of a child who is not biologically related to them. It confirms that the child has been legally adopted and grants them the same rights and benefits as if they were their biological child.

Post-placement reporting is required 3, 9, 15 and 21 months after the adoption date (as indicated

We are still waiting on
our adoption decree (which means our adoption is final in Haiti), and that's when he'll become a Palmer.

Hey, I was curious and went and checked your adoption timeline and noticed you've got the year wrong on that final date for
the adoption decree.
