work we do.
Adoption fees average around $ 200 a dog, $ 80 for a cat, and include all of the vet
work mentioned above.
Helping Hounds Dog Rescue is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization funded by donations, fundraisers and
adoption fees, that
works to find forever homes for rescue dogs in the Central New York area.
The
adoption fee only covers a fraction of the cost to care for the dogs in the manner they deserve, so we need your donations to help us continue our
work.
There is no
adoption fee for
working cats, who are spayed / neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, but a donation will help ensure future cats will be able to join the program and go to
work.
All
adoption fees allow us to continue our
work to save animals and place them into their «forever homes.»

The organizations teamed up to provide service animals to veterans in need by waiving
adoption fees for KHS pets and providing the specialized training necessary for the dog to
work as their service animal.
