Dog registration is not required but is a great idea to get your new puppy or
adult dog registered if your breeder has not already done so.

Adult dogs with well - established bite inhibition often mouth during play, and should they bite, the bites almost never break the skin because during puppyhood the
dog learned how to
register a complaint without inflicting any damage.Bite inhibition is one of the most misunderstood aspects of behavioral development in
dogs (and other animals).
AKC will investigate and may revoke the litter registration if the puppies or
adult dogs do not have the appearance of the breed they are
registered as.
