A sequel was inevitable (and Dreamworks has never been shy about sequels) and four years later, the continuing
adventures of Hiccup and Toothless have arrived on the silver screen.

Hiccup's long lost mother Valka (Cate Blanchett) in his conquering sights.
As such The
Adventure Pals feels right at home on Nintendo Switch, and aside from a few frame rate
hiccups in particularly frantic moments
of the game, runs very nicely indeed.
The development team appears to have made a real attempt to bring the
adventure in line with modern successes, but some bizarre design choices and a lack
of clear focus have taken their toll, and that's ignoring the technical
hiccups such as freezing in place or when items fail to register.
Embarrassing
hiccups like these (and believe me I did many) are all part
of the
adventure.
