Public
Advocate James, who brought Brawley to the
general election mayoral
debate on Tuesday night as her guest, has also recently started calling for a much more ambitious overall program of building new affordable housing, putting forth ideas like building more over rail yards across the five boroughs.
There are no other citywide primary
debates, with not enough competition for any of the Republican citywide nominations or for the Democratic nominations for Comptroller or Public
Advocate, where the two incumbents are set to cruise into the
general election.
