With millions of vehicle possibly affected by the airbag recall it is important for all Continental Acura customers and Acura owners in Naperville and Chicago to know the facts.

Correction: Mitsubishi will notify owners with specific instructions for locating qualified dealers who will replace the affected ECU, free of charge.

Correction: BMW will notify owners of affected vehicles by mail with further directions.

Correction: Odyssey owners should be notified by mail (if their vehicle is affected) with specific instruction for having the shorting pin terminal replaced at the local Honda dealership, free of charge.

Action Need To Fix It: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected harness connections with soldered connections, free of charge.

Correction: Honda will notify owners with specific instructions for locating qualified dealers that will replace the driver side frontal air bag inflator in all affected vehicles, free of charge.

All in all, the recall is said to affect a total number of 29,443 models in the US with Subaru already informing all model owners to drop by their local Subaru dealerships to have the CVT cooler hoses replaced at no cost.

GM will be mailing letters to the owners with the affected hinges on October 14th.
