Affirm Women in Leadership?
One early position, which still continues to be important in the evangelical community, is to affirm that the Bible, when correctly interpreted,
affirms women's full humanity.
They also note that some Pentecostal churches now
affirm women's leadership roles, including the pastoral ministry.
In my own town, there's a gigantic church that has, in just the past couple of years, changed from
affirming women as pastors and elders to forbidding it entirely.
