SAN JOSE — With the most
mobile home parks in California, San Jose may take the unprecedented step Tuesday of suspending closures of what has become a critical part of the
affordable housing
stock in the Capital of Silicon Valley but also a target for developers in a hot real estate market.
A network of Vermont funders, non-profits and building professionals are seeing the need to replace a
mobile home housing
stock that was disproportionately damaged in 2011 by tropical storm Irene as an opportunity to increase energy efficiency and access to
affordable housing.
