Late in January of 2002, just weeks
after being found guilty, Lemay managed another labour
planned to be a
home birth, which was later investigated by the police
after the parents filed a complaint.
Main outcome measure A composite primary outcome of perinatal mortality and intrapartum related neonatal morbidities (stillbirth

As a general rule, we advise international intended parents to
plan on returning
home after 2 - 4 weeks, to allow ample time for any DNA testing, court proceedings, the issuance of any
birth certificates and the application for any visas and / or passports.
This was my first unassisted pregnancy and

Breastfeeding doesn't come easy for everyone so we recommend

planned births in alongside midwifery units, free standing midwifery units, and at
home, respectively (P < 0.001)(see appendix 3 on bmj.com).
Many expecting moms assume that breast pumps are most useful for women who
plan to work shortly
after giving
birth, but the reality of breastfeeding is that breast pumps are a helpful tool for stay - at -
home moms too.
In this study of the cost effectiveness of alternative
planned places of
birth in England in women at low risk of complications before the onset of labour, we found that the cost of intrapartum and
after birth care, and associated related complications, was less for
births planned at
home, in a free standing midwifery unit, or in an alongside midwifery unit compared with
planned births in an obstetric unit.
Now I'm
planning another
home birth, and hope this time baby can stay

SMMIS allows those who transferred to hospital
after an attempt at a
home birth to be identified and included in the «
planned home birth» group, thus overcoming the bias that would be introduced if the «
planned home birth» group contained only those uncomplicated cases which ended in a
home birth.
My initial
plan was that
after our
home birth, baby would sleep in a bassinet next to my side of our bed.
We
planned a

Exclusion criteria before
birth:
home address outside the greater Dunedin area,
planning to move away from Dunedin in the next 2 years, booked into the maternity centre
after 34 - week gestation, or unable to communicate in English or Te Reo Maori [language of the indigenous (Maori) ethnic group of New Zealand].
After a change in jobs and insurance that finally enables us to pursue a
home birth, our
