A Southwest Airlines airplane flying to Phoenix was forced to land at Nashville airport shortly
after takeoff because of a bird strike, a Southwest spokesperson said.
The incident followed a Friday scare at JFK, in which an American Airlines flight was forced to land shortly
after takeoff because of a mechanical issue.
