People expect babies to sleep a lot — zonked out in strollers, lulled into dreamland in car seats, tucked away for marathon
afternoon naps in their cribs, and snoozing for long stretches at night (okay, maybe with the unfortunate wake - ups thrown in there).
In recent weeks, she has begun to be unable to take her late
afternoon nap in her crib (all crying, zero sleep), so we have taken to either going for a ride in the car, taking a walk, or letting her nap on one of us on the couch.
My mom was telling me that as long as Aiden had one good morning nap and one good
afternoon nap in his crib then he should be fine to sleep elsewhere for the others.

I've been trying to not let it go so long so that he won't go down for an
afternoon nap by 2 p.m. and he'll rest about an hour and I let him sleep no later than 4 p.m.. His bedtime is 7 p.m. at the latest (many times he's ready for his milk and bed by 6:45 p.m.) He goes down without any trouble and even if he lays awake for thirty minutes (sometimes longer)
in his
crib, he won't cry.
