As I explained the research - based purpose of my visit (yet
again), and went on to clarify that I didn't have any shows in mind, I realized (yet
again) just how complicit
curators often are these days in legitimizing mediocre work being aggressively pushed for the sake of financial gain.
The 2014 show, «Another, Once
Again, and Many Times More» sees some of the artists returning
as exhibitors or
curators.

With its strong regional focus, «Why Not Ask
Again» continues a palpable trend in Asia for artists and
curators to examine the possibilities and realities of exchange within their own region,
as opposed to the oft - analyzed dialogue between East and West.
William Kentridge has established himself
as one of the weightiest players within South African contemporary art, Time and time
again, all sorts of
curators have found themselves drawn to and engaging with Kentridge's work.
It came to my mind,
again, in «Stories of Almost Everyone», organized by Hammer Museum
curator Aram Moshayedi, which elaborates not so much on the subject of craft but of craftiness, and on the integral untrustworthiness of the readymade
as an artistic form.
The gallery - teaching programe Kunsthalle KIDS, aimed at families and schools, will continue its work with the young viewer; and
again there will be guided tours to the exhibitions and the Child
Curator programe,
as well
as education for adults in the Experiment Art cycle.
Prior to joining the ICA, Weaver served

as a
curator and artist always sought to make reading a crucial and cool activity in the art world and contributes two new sculptures that literally bring reading into the gallery.

Having organized shows that explored artistic approaches to everything from cut paper to lace to animal parts, chief
curator David McFadden was eager to once
again spotlight the work of contemporary artists who specialize in what he describes
as «unorthodox, unusual, or unexpected materials.»
