I shared a recipe for these healthy breakfast muffins here on the
blog (in Finnish) a few years ago and as I know a lot
of my
readers have liked these, I thought I should make them
again and share the recipe in English as well.

Establish an author platform (
again, months or maybe even years before the release
of your book) through a
blog / website and sites like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. and create a network
of potential
readers and other people in the industry through your author platform who are likely to want to know about, spread the word about, read and / or buy your book.
Now, Mike Rohde is back,
again with a series
of numbered
blog posts that engage prospective
readers and build interest in his book while he's writing it.
Indeed, one
of our most astute observers
of the realm and a great, favorite colleague
of mine, Philip Jones in London, wrote in his Future present
blog post at The Bookseller that «newspaper critics»
of Brown «once
again show how disconnected they are from
readers.»
And then I remembered, I had an agent, a great agent, I wrote great books (so all the rejecting editors told me) and yes, you are right, self pub has given my stories a voice and an ear and the chance to be read, when they otherwise would have still been gathering dust on my hard drive, yet, on the other hand this is hard, REALLY HARD, it is SO hard to find your way to a readership as a SP, with limited funds (dwindling)... and the glimmer
of trad pub — with their power to splash your name around established circles
of readers, and their ability to secure a great number
of reviews where, as a self pub, doors have been slammed in my face — becomes temptingly shiny
again, (it's like childbirth, you forget all the painful stuff with time)... and it all gets very tempting... almost tempting enough to consider sacrificing one work JUST one artistic premise for the trade off
of visibility... and then perhaps, just perhaps THEN, my SP efforts will finally sprout wings... but then I hear you and other say, it wasn't worth it, you'd never do it
again, and I sigh... And then I wake up the next morning and think
of packing it all in, and going to work for Walmart and steady shitty pay... lol And then along comes this
blog post.
Like interning or freelance writing with no contract or financial agreement in place beyond maybe a few bucks, guest blogging to help out other authors and hoping to gain a few
readers,
blog tours where
again, you read and review to help out other authors, and yes, even blogging, all
of it is done for free with little to no compensation and no guarantee it will further your writerly aspirations in the long run.
Again, none
of these findings should shock most
readers of this

Again familiar to
readers of this

We imagine that
readers of this

Before doing so, I yet
again encourage the
