Big in your list I can agree that all these players would improve us, but let's look at our CB At the moment Kos, top player but is struggling with a inj which may or may not heal, at the moment he isn't match fit so not up to his own high standard, so needs help or a defender of his quality so he can go and recover properly So then we have Mert, too slow and no longer good enough, I'm not sure if he's even good enough for 3 rd choice CB, too slow, poor on the air for his size and not brave enough, he's lasted this long due to Kos he needs a Top class CB just to allow him to play against average teams Ok now Reid not top class we can all agree so we couldn't really play him with MERT as he isn't Kos quality so can't cover merits deficiencys He could be ok with Kos but Kos is struggling So is Reid what we need???? And finally Wenger if he has all 3 fit will still play Kos / Mert first choice Oh and God forbid we play MERT / Reid
against the top teams like Chels / city / utd / Southampton Chuckle chuckle
And about teams, he had scored against Bayern for last two season, none of arsenal player was able to do soo, & also scored vs LIV and how much had he played
against Top teams like Che / Manu / Manc so never say about scoring against small teams...
What is it with all these england performance noise cos i do nt see him doing

Coquelin's defending is excellent. In fact i've watched many DM's Arsenal have been linked and he's better than some of them defensive wise. How many
top DM's will keep the
likes of Silva, Coutinho and Modric (12/13) quiet throughout a match? It takes
top defending to do that. His biggest problem is that he's not adventurous and doesn't hold the ball with authority. It's just that I feel he's not given the appreciation he deserves. He's a good squad player to have and when on form can do well
against top teams.
PG — I'm not sure we have a starting PG on the roster, would really
like to see DJ run the second unit and match up with the Quinns of the NBA rather than the Curry's and Pauls SG — Green has moved into that unfortunate professional athlete phase of «living off past laurels» and should not be resigned SF — Not gonna even speculate PF — LMA is good to go C — Unfortunately stuck with Gasol who is unplayable
against the
top tier playoff
teams
Chelsea look strong and don't look
like they will drop too many points, they can afford to draw
against the other
top 6
teams whilst we need to beat them.
Typical Arsenal fan article... a win
against an average in a cup game and suddenly Arteta and Flamini are
top dogs deserving of a squad number... and when we come across a half decent
team and their limitations are exposed the same clueless fan
like the writer of this article will scream blue murder.....
(
Like playing two DMs in away games
against top teams Vidal + Coq)
They both love arsenal, they up the tempo when we are losing and they have the nerves to score
against any
team unlike ozil Since we lost fabregas, no one plays the ball over the
top for us frequently, then we lost rosicky that drives through the middle, then we lost super Wilshere that drives through the middle and plays the ball over the
top to injury and ref mismanagement, since then we've been playing the safe pass to the wing to cross
like other EPL
teams.
We are so close to having a squad that can perform
against any
team, get rid of deadwood
like diaby, flamini, ryo and Campbell then sign Paulista, Schneiderlin and a
top class striker e.g Falcao, Cavani, Suarez then replace Podolski with Dybala.
they did nt we were just so f# ck & ng predictable because of the same bullshit tactics that may have worked
against the smaller
teams but
against the larger ones at full strength... well you ask the question again as to why we don't beat the
top sides, they hire managers
like mourinho who are tacticians and take one look at arsenal's
team sheet and know exactly what they are doing... there is a reason we haven't beaten them in a while.
CLOVIS WEST KEYS TO VICTORY:
Against top teams the Golden Eagles have been near or above their 74.1 points per game scoring average, and if they can score at least 70 points and play solid team ball with the kind of defense they have shown — except in the second game against Centennial - Las Vegas when they lost 70 - 46 at the MLK in Stockton — coach Craig Campbell and his girls should win again just like they did in a 70 - 67 overtime victory over Poly at the Ni

top Teams..
Although Arsenal fans are 99 % certain that the Gunners can not qualify for the Champions League by finishing in the
Top Four of the Premier League and our only remaining hope is to win the Europa League and sneak in the back door,
like Man United did next season, it would appear that the Boss thinks his
team need to win
against some «big
teams» before we can consider winning the minor European trophy.
It's not
like, with all respect, 10 or 15 years ago where you had a couple of
teams that wouldn't be able to win
against the
top ones.
I would just
like to add as well that we played
against a good Bayern
team who have won this competition [recently], and who have 11
top - class players.
I
like Mert as a human being but I think he doesn't bring enough to play
against top teams.

like United's defenders were
against Leicester and would be able to command the respect of his
team mates after several excellent years at the
top with the German giants.
They are unlikely to get it
against West Ham, who look
like a
top - ten
team this term.

Chelsea do have a habbit of losing
against middle and low rank
teams so it's a good thing that we may hope chelsea will stutter
against these
teams like today so we can closd the gap of
top position it's difficult but not impossible..
here's my big hope, is that hopefully with the return of walcott and that win
against anderlecht maybe something might (
like bad form) break in the season for us now and we hopefully go on a bit of a winning run til Jan, we have not got a really bad fixture til then mostly mid to lower league
team (apart from the pool and united) not to be underestimated but winnable, we might just save our season till the next window very important period for us if we want to do anything in the league this season, if in
top 2 or 3 buy jan i for one will be chuffed to bits then with all players back push on from there for massive optimism is my middle name COYG
I have a thought on this, the EPL is the most competitive league in the world but the
top teams in the league which are Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool have all dropped their levels which is why none of them can compete in the champions league
against the
likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern or Atletico, as great an advert it is that Leicester won but it's a serious indictment on the big
teams that they won!
But 6 to 7 years ago, all young players were getting many first
team opportunity in the form of substitution, CL matches were we already
topped the group with couple of group matches to be played, PL matches where we already won
like 4 - 0 score with 30 minutes to go
against lesser
team, Carling cups etc..
Still people bang on about klopp... yet Arsene who competes in the worlds toughest league,
against several hugely bankrolled
teams, with the same injury problems, with our players bought off
like nothing Klopp has ever faced from Bayern — still finishes
top four year in year out and has never languished at the bottom of the league.
i think if we by any chance got griezmann that would be awesome,
against bus parking
teams like norwich we could play with a
top 2 with griezmann and giroud they can play very well with eachother and griezmann could get on to girouds flicks and knockdowns and griezmann does play in a
top2 at atletico and
against the most
teams griezmann could play as a lone striker, but anyway i do nt think he will leave atletico
The lack of power in our defence compared to
top teams will cost us dearly even burnley were willing to have a hotmail on Saturday bcse all
teams coming to emirates know that there is a goal to be had
against the
likes of mert arteta flamini and Monreal
But we haven't challenged for the PL title for many years, and these are the problems, that we seem to have constantly: 1) We are letting in too many goals 2) «Physical
teams» often seem to be able to beat us 3) We always loose too many points in the internal games
against top opponents 4) We always have too many injuries 5) We have many matches, where the
team seem unmotivated for at least one half In a single match or even a few matches, you can blame individual players or even the whole
team for problems
like the above.
if arsenal played
like this
against big
teams, we would be on
top of the table or close..
This year the fixtures don't seem too difficult ALL AT ONCE
like last February / march we had too many injuries coupled with horrendous fixtures
against top teams game after game..
1) When you can not beat mid
teams like Hull and Tottenham at home 2) You have no track record of beating
top teams who you should be competing with 3) You struggle
against any decent opposition that decides to play good football and apply themselves tactically 4) A confused manager with poor tactics, playing players in wrong position, throws a blind eye when a possible solution presents itself (Fabregas) and makes no move or poor moves in the market when he does GUYS to be honest we are at risk of losing out on 4th place with a resurgent Man U, fighting Liverpool and decent
team like Everton and Southampton.
We saw what this
team looks
like without Alexis in the first half
against Liverpool removing him from the
team would be dumb if we want to have the smallest chance to finish in the
top 4.
Apart from the games
against the
top six
teams, I'd
like Wenger to go back to 4 -4-2 with Giroud and Laca up
top.Now I'm not a big fan of Giroud, I'd rather have Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, but he's all we've got.
Many JustArsenal readers thought that we also needed a
top quality striker to actually challenge for the title, but Olivier Giroud is now looking
like the real deal, and both the youngster Chuba Akpom and the ex-Man United Danny Welbeck could be adequate understudies
against the weaker
teams.
Everton won 1 in 44
against top 6
teams in 6/7 years Would
like to see Xhaka benched, and maybe lacazette in place of Ewobi, not that he had a bad game But well played today Arsenal.
Wouldnt
like us to lose
against Man united but am afraid if the
team finishes strongly then Wenger will not buy any new players & next season will be another battle for a
top 4 finish.
Not expert enough
against top teams who love his reading of game so much they put a shit load of goals passed him... It's not just that's he is slow it's also because he is one of the worst distributors of a ball I have seen in
top flight football... Just watch his passing to players with no option but to boot loose ball or pass back... It is truly shocking... so yes unless you're a 4th place junkie mert should be a bench player just
like for Germany in World Cup
Against the likes of Bournemouth, you can get away with it, but against the top teams you get found out, which is exactly what happened against Liv

against a
team like Norwich City in a game to determine if we made
top 4?
People gushing about Ozil again but he only plays
like this
against the lower
teams... would be great of he was
like this
against every
team Lets see if we get Mhiki and Auba if it is because we have people running well why Ozil cant perform
against top 6 or just him!
Arsene has a mental problem, just
like he has
against United and pretty much all the
top teams.
We'll take 482 total yards, two touchdowns and no major errors in prime time
against a
top - 10
team, but let's not assume the Noles are going to roll up points
like that
against just anybody.
you wont see a cazorla or a xavi losing possession, not only that but they drive the
team forward.but unfortunately u hav players
like ramsey, who do nt drive the attack
like the above two, also he loses possessions sometimes by attempting fancy moves.its sad ramsey gives more importance to style over substance.unfortunately, i feel players
like ramsey hav contributed to arsenal's inability... imagine a
team like barcelona playing with him, constantly losing posession leading to conceding goals and so on.difference is barca's manager wud take them out, while under wenger u r rewarded with the nxt game!!!! i do nt deny he was
top notch a season or two back, but now hes a liability imo and need to change his mentality.even that opportunity he got
against tottenham where thought longer before taking a shot thus giving defender time to get to him and take off the ball.i bet if it was cazorla, arsenal wud hav scored...
Wenger needs to be judged
against over
top teams, not
against the
likes of West Ham or Sutton, but
against the
likes of Bayern or Chelsea, and this is where he fails miserably!
«That's what you're up
against when you are at a
top team like Arsenal; other
teams lift their game
against you.
