Took a few liberties and used smoked paprika in place of liquid smoke and a dash
of agave nectar instead of the maple syrup.
I didn't add the blueberries (I didn't have any) and I used 1/4 cup maple syrup instead of the 1/2
cup agave nectar.
Then mix together 1/2 cup steamed or heated soy milk, 3
tablespoons agave nectar, and 1/8 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder.
But my first batch of ice cream had a murky taste, perhaps because I used
agave nectar as well with it.
Blend 1 1/2 cups milk, 1 1/2 cups strawberries, 2 tablespoons raw cacao nibs, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1/4 cup
raw agave nectar.
* I've found that using
light agave nectar yields the best flavor in these muffins but maple syrup will also work.
I'll get to the recipe for this pumpkin cake in a moment, but I figure some of you might like some background
on agave nectar first.
If you can't avoid sweets entirely, switch to using natural sweeteners
like agave nectar and honey.
I've been curious
about agave nectar for a while, but have yet to take the plunge and try baking with it.
You could also play around with date syrup, organic brown rice syrup or organic raw
blue agave nectar since those three natural sweeteners have a similar consistency and texture as maple syrup.

replace agave nectar for the same amount of crushed pineapple with juice, I'm going to give it a go.

If you
sub agave nectar, you may need to decrease the liquid slightly somewhere else in the recipe.
Certain
agave nectar products are lower in fructose than others, but even organic versions contain far too much.
Adjust the sweetness of your vegan coconut whipped cream by adding
more agave nectar as you see fit.

I have used white and black flour, low - calories almond milk instead of soy yoghurt and a little bit of cardamom instead of ginger and
less agave nectar than in the recipe.
Unfortunately I don't
think agave nectar would be a good substitute for the brown rice syrup.
I doubled the recipe and did half sugar and
half agave nectar (adjusting the soy milk accordingly).
