It is important to always rule out hidden medical conditions which may
cause aggression in dogs before treating the aggression with behavior modification training.
Because there can be medical causes
for aggression in dogs, it is imperative to have a veterinarian assess a dog displaying unusual aggressive behaviors, especially when they appear out of the blue.
The truth is, there is very little evidence to support the idea that spaying or neutering is an effective strategy for
reducing aggression in dogs.
Please note that the theory of dominance
based aggression in dogs is largely based on studies of wolves which may or may not be true.
The best way to handle fear and
