Good idea, but because of where the door handle is on the F15 they seem positioned very far forward, pretty much right next to the traditional X5 double - stacked front air - con vents.

The horizontal lines dominate, right down to the thin air vents that span the entire width of the dash panel which dupes you into thinking that the car is much wider than it actually is.

That brings up my only real complaint: The aluminum trim pieces surround the air vents on the dash reflect back into the side windows and windshield, causing some serious glare in the right - light conditions.

We should have known something wasn't right when we saw that fresh air vent for the 12 - volt battery that screams «high underhood temperatures.»

The LED accents on the headlights look modern and just right, and vents in the front bumper route air over the front wheels, reducing drag and helping fuel economy.

The right zone of the instrument panel includes a continuous air vent strip — including continuous chrome application — from which the air exits indirectly and draft - free.

Air vent on right side changed from a flush, two sectional, horizontal slotted opening to a protruding, single section, vertical slotted opening.

The seat heater switches are built into the left and right air vents, a novel touch.

The central air - conditioning vents sit right at the top of the centre console.
