airbag inflators as Ford has issued a safety recall for various vehicles including the 2007 - 2010 Edge, 2006 - 2011 Fusion, 2005 - 2011 Mustang, 2007 - 2011 Ranger, 2007 - 2010 Lincoln MKX, and 2006 - 2011 Lincoln MKZ, Zephyr, and Mercury Milan.

as a result of long - term storage), which may cause the
airbag to fail to deploy properly in the event of a crash, leading to increased risk of injury.
As part of a global recall campaign announced in June 2014, Honda will be replacing the passenger side
airbag inflator on the affected vehicles.
Yesterday's recall comes on the same day
as a separate recall in which 4560 Toyota Prius vehicles and 2185 Lexus CT 200h vehicles were recalled to fix potentially faulty curtain
airbag inflators that could rupture and injure occupants.
As mentioned earlier, the faulty Takata
airbag inflators pose the threat of being deployed with excessive internal pressure when activated.
Correction: Dealers will inspect the passenger front
airbag inflator and replace the
inflator and the wire harness
as needed.
Details: An incorrect wiring harness for the passenger front
airbag inflator may have been installed in a previous recall repair, which could prevent the passenger front
airbag from deploying
as intended.

as greater venting, unique propellant wafer configurations, and machined steel end caps.
Mitsubishi Australia has recalled the 2003 - 2008 Lancer and Lancer Evolution
as part of the ongoing Takata
airbag inflator scandal.
It is believed that engineers working at Takata may have conducted tests
as far back 2004 that warned of potential
airbag explosions with deadly shrapnel emitted from the product's failed steel
inflators.
