In dogs with primary tumors, the alkaline phosphatase (hydrolase enzyme responsible for removing phosphate groups from many types of molecules),
alanine transferase (enzyme found in the liver and other tissues) are usually elevated.
Rises in liver associated enzymes, particularly alkaline phosphatase and
alanine transferase (ALT) may occur in conjunction with pancreatitis.

Liver functions were assessed using a panel of biochemical tests indicating liver inflammation (aspartate amino
transferase and
alanine amino
transferase), cholestasis or biliary obstruction (total bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase) and synthetic function (albumin).
Some tests increase with liver disease like the
alanine amino
transferase, or bilirubin.
Generally (very generally) in a case of fatty liver disease you would expect an increase in circulating bilirubin, more than a two fold increase in aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and
alanine aminotransferase (ALT) along with a normal or mildly increased gamma - glutamyl
transferase (GGT) level I added a link to a biochemistry reference page for comparison.
