A California federal judge Monday ruled that a certified class action on behalf of Illinois Facebook users
alleging that the social media giant unlawfully collects biometric data from the tagging of their
photos «will go forward,» in one of the first major
tests of the scope of the Midwestern state's Biometric Information Privacy Act.
