Any suggestions for substitutions
an allergy to coconut?
I would like to try a couple ideas from your book but have a strong
allergy to coconut.

an allergy to coconut, try palm oil, red palm oil, or palm kernel oil, two other healthy tropical oils.
having a sever allergy to Latex and a mild
allergy to coconut, I spend a lot of time reading ingredients before I buy.
Regarding
the allergy to coconut flour, that's cool (or not) but may I suggest something?

Because many do not consider
coconut a nut,
coconut flour is a great alternative
to almond flour for those with nut
allergies.
& I also used Earth Balance
Coconut Spread (in place of the butter) because both my kids have a dairy
allergy & can not have real butter & I like
to not always use soy either.

I checked this page out because I am always on the hunt for peanut / tree nut free recipes, as we have that
allergy in our house... But I would be negligent
to avoid noting that
COCONUT is technically a tree nut, and should be treated as such.

coconuts are not tree nuts from an
allergy perspective, and while some people with tree nut
allergies are also allergic
to coconuts they are mutually exclusive (similarly those allergic
to peanuts are not always allergic
to tree nuts, although peanuts are generally included in «nut free» disclaimers).
I have severe
allergies to all tree nuts and that includes
coconuts and almonds.
I substituted a few things... pecans and peanut butter
to replace almonds, some
coconut flour works great when short on flaxmeal, no vanila due
to allergy and Earth Balance for half of
coconut oil and they are so good they disappear in half a day.
Babyzilla has crazy food

coconut milk yogurt in the first place, so I sympathize.
