As posted on this blog Walsenburg is one of the early adopters changing their city code to
allow tiny houses to be built and / or placed as the primary residence on a city lot.
In a 5 - 1 vote at a town hall meeting, city council approved Ordinance 1045,
allowing tiny houses to be built in R - 1 and R - 2 zoned residential lots.
Get creative and look at other jurisdictions that are
allowing tiny houses to be built.

Some laws have a minimum square foot requirement for new houses on foundations, may not

Colorado is actually wanting to make changes to zoning to
allow for
tiny houses (well, at least several townships).
The biggest problem for the TH movement in Kansas City is that THoW's (
tiny houses on wheels) are not
allowed unless they are parked in an RV Park or on a mobile home park.

tiny house allows a person to go to work or school, and gives them the ability to keep their belongings safe and secure.
