book collections go digital, the less we will be able to loan to other libraries or borrow from other libraries.
Someone's going to be in the headquarters, they're going to decide what
number of books are going to each store based on the region, and so stores themselves, when you walk into a Barnes and Noble, let's say, and you talk to that manager, they have a very
small amount
of wiggle room when it comes to the titles they're
allowed to bring in.
Publishers won't
allow it (take a look at B&N's store sometime, and note the very
small number of books that you can share, even with the crippled Nook sharing scheme).
While reading a
book, pressing the
small Aa icon on the lower right side
of the screen brings up a menu that
allows you to make the text
smaller or larger, shrink the line spacing, control the brightness, choose your page turn effect, turn page
numbers on or off, or use the night mode.
As we turn our efforts to respond to patron demand and begin buying more e-books, and with only a
small number of e-
book vendors (mostly academic)
