Here's a recipe for one of my favorite homemade
almond butter flavors, Honey Espresso Almond Butter.

Wild Friends generously sent me their nut butter products to try and, wow, I was missing out on the variety of
almond butter flavor possibilities.

The almond butter in these cookies adds an extra creaminess and of course, that extra
almond butter flavor.

But here we make it a tad more special and extra delicious by cooking the oatmeal with pure apple juice / cider, spices,
butter or coconut oil and chopped
almonds for extra rich
flavor and texture.
The three
flavors include different combinations of organic peanut
butter, oats, organic coconut, non-GMO whey protein, honey, premium chocolate chips,
almonds, dried tart cherries and GanedenBC30 probiotics.

You could substitute either recipe with a 1/2 cup of
almond butter (it may be hard to get a smooth batter with whole
almonds); the
flavor will be altered slightly, but I bet they will still taste great:)!
I prefer roasted
almonds because I like the
flavor it adds to the nut
butter — it's much more deep and complex.

The creaminess from the
almond butter goes perfectly with the hard chocolate shell, while the pinch of sea salt sprinkled on top becomes a great contrast to the sweet, nutty
flavor.
Since the company has no plans to bring this glorious
flavor to market, they shared how to hack it at home: start by combining Justin's Classic
Almond Butter and dark chocolate cocoa powder in a microwave - safe bowl or on the stove top.
Many with Alzheimer's lose their appetite and won't eat, so if they prefer the
flavor of coconuts over peanut or
almond butter, then maybe they will get some much needed fat into their systems if they eat the coconut oil while they are refusing the nut
butters.

Well the brand I use is
Almond Bark, also known as vanilla
flavored candy coating, is a chocolate like confection made with vegetable fats instead of cocoa
butter and with coloring and
flavors added, rather than tempered white chocolate with mix ins.
I like cashew
butter for it's milder
flavor but a nice creamy
almond is good too!

For this batch I used cashew
butter, which has a more mild, neutral
