Oat flour or buckwheat flour would work and maybe
almond butter instead of
cashew.
I changed few things — added some sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds instead of the
cashews (I didn't have any), I used
almond butter and I added some natural
almond extract intead of the vanilla.
Would love to try this recipie would need to replace the
almonds and
cashew butter with something else.
I never cut out peanuts / peanut
butter completely, I just limit them as I eat a lot more of
cashew and
almond butter.

cashew butter is usually made with 100 % nuts and no added ingredients or oils so that sounds perfect!
The only change I made was
cashew butter instead of
almond!
I use raw nuts for this nut
butter recipes, however I roast the nuts for the
almond butter and
cashew butter recipe, they're all really delicious!
We've substituted the
cashew butter with
almond butter in your pecan pie and it was still heavenly.

Hi Ella, I made these the other day but only had
Almond butter instead of
Cashew, and just regular dates instead of Medjool ones so I feared the worst, but they came out great!!
Place the
almond milk, maple syrup,
cashew butter, coconut oil, vanilla powder, apple puree and soaked chia and flax mix into a blender and blend until fully mixed (about a minute).
Generally I do tend to eat more
almond or
cashew butter as I much prefer the taste too x
I eat peanut
butter but I don't tend to have it too often as I much prefer
cashew and
almond butter!

There are loads of recipes on my blog which use
almond butter or
cashew butter.
Sometimes I use a peanut
butter instead of
cashew, or a packet of mixed nuts instead of
almonds and it's just as delicious!
I understand if it doesn't work for you though in my recipes I often use it for the specific sweetness or stickiness, so sometimes nut
butters (
almond,
cashew or tahini) can work as a substitute or other oils (olive) or other sticky beauties (dates, figs etc).
I upped the cacao to 1T and subbed
cashew butter for the
almond butter and also upped that to 1T.
Btw, do we need to store homemade
butter (
almond,
cashew or peanut) in the fridge?
