cream 2 eggs, lightly beaten 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 3 tablespoons caster (superfine) sugar 2 tablespoons all purpose flour 550g fresh cherries, halved and pitted — I used only 450g Preheat the oven to 180 °C / 350 °F; butter a 24 cm (9 1/2 in) round loose - bottomed

Bake
tart until apples are tender,
almond cream is set, and crust is golden and crisp, about 40 minutes.
Pile the whipped
cream on top of the
tart, sprinkle with
almonds, and fruit if desired and serve.
