I think I agree with you on liking
almond flavour more than the actual nut.
Not exact matches
It's got a
more pronounced
flavour than
almond milk and is richer and thicker.
I used
Almond because it has
more nutty
flavour, but soy will be fine too.
Same goes for the Gomacro bars, I haven't tried the cashew caramel one yet, but the banana
almond butter was a bit dull, I expected a lot
more, and at 2.79 a pop I'm unlikely to shell out again, although the
flavour combinations for the range sound so amazing.

Soaked the blueberries in Amaretto for
more almond flavour.
While the berries pop in all the best ways, the
almond butter helps to create a
more complex
flavoured muffin than traditional raspberry varieties.
Using either oats or buckwheat,
flavours such as warm apple pie oat porridge (pictured above) or
almond chai buckwheat porridge became much
more nourishing than cereal!
Although either
almond or cashew butter is fine, for these I generally prefer using cashew butter if possible as I think there's better pumpkin
flavour and also the muffins are lighter in colour,
more orangey, when made with cashew butter than
almond.
The
almond dukkah recipe below will make much
more than you need for this salad, but it's so delicious and versatile you can literally sprinkle it on anything for a
flavour boost (which you'll have seen me doing on Instagram!).
I have just made this using quinoa instead of rice, and sunflower seeds instead of flaked
almonds, which I couldn't get today for some reason - very good indeed, but I couldn't help thinking that it was a slight waste of asparagus, as the rather delicate
flavour of the English asparagus was rather overwhelmed by the

It also works great with my homemade
almond milk but the cashew milk is
more neutral in
flavour.
It's little
more than a standard overnight oats recipe, following the usual formula of one part oats to two parts liquid (unsweetened
almond milk, in this case), one part fruit (mashed banana), and a little something for
flavour stirred through (a touch of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt).
Some people don't like the taste of
almonds so cashew milk - which is
more neutral in
flavour - is a great alternative.
I rarely buy nut / seed butters but in this one I used blanched
almond butter that I bought - I think that roasted
almond butter will be even better (
more flavour).
But
almond butter is just as delicious, with a
more sweet & mild
flavour
Coconut flour has a very different
flavour, and
more significantly coconut flour is much
more absorbent & crumbly than
almond flour.
