almond meal making it too dense and keeping it from rising.
The reason I didn't use regular almond flour (
almond meal made from ground blanched almonds) is that de-oiled almond flour helps achieve fluffier and lighter results.
I also found that adding
the almond meal made it much easier to roll into little bliss balls.
