The base of the cake is quinoa and
almond meal so it is not only vegan, also gluten - free.

Almond Meal so will try it again after the suggested almond meal arrives that is recommended by Elana.
Although, quite - deliciously almond - y (my first time using
almond meal so perhaps that should have been expected) but still great!
Coconut flour is a lot more absorbent than
almond meal so the liquid to dry ratio will be much different.
I just put this in the oven... but i ran out of
almond meal so i ended up mixing it with coconut flour... hope it will turn out ok...!

I initially used 75g oats and 25g
almond meal, but had to add another 75g oats to try to firm it up as well as letting the mixture sit for a while
so the oats could soak up the liquid.
I made a few variations — I only had 400g sweet potato
so added some apple puree to make up the difference, increased
almond meal to 1 cup, added some vanilla, decaf coffee powder and extra salt — extra tasty!
I didn't have any brown rice flour when making this
so subbed it with another mug of
almond meal.
So, before I put the second batch in the oven, I added 1/3 cup of
almond meal, that helped... at least they formed a mound.
I use
almond meal as a substitute for bread crumbs in meatballs

so far my paleo bread efforts have been pretty average as I usually bake with just
almond meal and the bread comes out mushy and crumbly this time it's turned out perfect with the coconut flour!
I only had flax seed and
almond meal,
so searched conversions and made the recipe with gram measurements (weighing ingredients seems
so much easier anyway... maybe you can provide weights with future recipes?
There are lots of ways to boost the protein in salads, everyone should be aiming to get 25 — 30 grams of protein per
meal adding beans (edamame, garbanzo, and black beans are some of my favorites) and adding a modest amount of nuts with heart - healthy oils like (
almonds, walnuts and pistachios are
so good) are two ways to reach optimal protein intake — I also love these Snack Crisps from Eat Enlightened.
Almond and flax
meal have a higher natural fat content
so they can get crispy when sautéd without oil, just be sure to use a very low temperature because they are also more likely to burn.

You could try the
almond meal — not sure how the dough will respond though and it will have more carbs
so if you're counting be sure to add the carbs for whatever you sub with!
I used
almond meal in the flour mix
so you get a slight texture from that as well....
