Begin by having students build upon existing knowledge, this is a great opportunity to gain intrinsic motivation and attention — remember that you have
already analyzed the student population.

Because noncognitive qualities like grit, curiosity, self - control, optimism, and conscientiousness are often described, with some accuracy, as skills, educators eager to develop these qualities in their
students quite naturally tend to treat them like the skills that we
already know how to teach: reading, calculating,
analyzing, and so on.

students at risk are making versus
students who are

student data,
analyze significant trends, and shape instruction accordingly can be even greater.

students do not write in a vacuum, they always write about some legal doctrine, and they learn that doctrine better when they
