Melting of glaciers and ice sheets is
also contributing to sea level rise at increasing rates.6
But right now it is
also contributing to sea level rise at a faster rate.
CO2 is
also contributing to sea level rise because as CO2 enters the ocean, it warms up the water and the water expands, and when it expands it has to go somewhere meaning the ocean will get bigger and our beaches will get smaller.
Not exact matches
But, as the world's glaciers recede, melting ice is
also contributing to the
rise in
sea levels.
It

to expand — so - called thermal expansion —
contributing to a
sea level rise of 0.17 meter (nearly seven inches) in the 20th century.

sea level rise, 65 with latest results permitting quantitative evaluation of losses globally.66

level rise, which threatens low - lying populations.2, 3,5 Accelerated melting
also adds freshwater

It
also does not follow that we know the rate that CO2
contributes to the warming,
sea level rise, etc..
The melting of ice that now covers land, such as mountain glaciers,
also contributes to the
sea -
level rise and most likely results from global warming.
The uncertainty in the penetration of the heat into the oceans
also contributes to the future
sea level rise uncertainty.
