cooking as a personal chef for working couples with children who feel like they don't have time
to cook healthfully for their family.

also find it really hard
to get the timing right for summer
cooking.
I do this not only
to puree the peppers and onions, but
to also get all of the flavors
to come together as they
cook.
I whisk the eggs prior
to adding
to the pan, and then
also once they are in the pan — it's important
to move the eggs around in the pan so that the uncooked liquid falls
to the bottom and has a chance
to cook, but it's important
to whisk the eggs before they
get to the pan as well
to make sure that the texture is even, and you don't have places in your omelette that are just yolk or just egg white — so in short, I do both.
And we are moving back
to the US so not only will I find ingredients I miss and be able
to cook in a kitchen that is more familiar, I will
also be able
to run out
to a bookstore and
get the Smitten Kitchen cookbook!!
You could
also cook it in the slow
cooker, but make sure you try it while you're at home the first time
to get the timing right.
The benefit here is that the sweet potato
also benefits from all the delicious seasonings and
gets to cook in the hot liquids.
I love this kind of thing because not only do I
get to bake and
cook to my heart's content, but I
also get to do a lot of figuring out: coming up with a menu, researching recipes, scaling them up and down, and writing out list after list.

to sprinkle a few flaked almonds on top a few minutes before it's finished

get nicely toasted but not burnt.

instead of using cheesecake that has
to be
cooked how about the box ones that
