cold -
water ocean fish, and also in beans, flaxseed, walnuts, vegetables, and in wild and grass - fed animals (
although in much lower quantities).
So
although warm
water is reaching the continental shelves, and creating some melting, the overall effect is to deliver a
cold freshwater layer to the top hundred metres or so of the surrounding
ocean.
There is also an increased upwelling of deep
cold ocean waters and more intense uprising of surface air near South America, resulting in increasing numbers of drought occurrences,
although fishermen reap benefits from the more nutrient - filled eastern Pacific
waters.
