injuries [parlour said our training techniques were the same as from 2004] not having a world -
class CF (cavani, suarez, rvp,...), very thin defence & some teenagers in it, no CDM until recently, i want
to like wenger, but i think what he does is
always a bit short, why not spend a bit more
to buy defenders (i don't buy his argument that they are hard
to get; the solution is almost
always money), favoritism
to some players (wilshere..)
Yeah yeah yeah It's a priority
to get a new striker in of course it is PROVIDING that he cost less that a fiver, is world
class, French and is young enough
to make a profit on when we resell him So not really a priority at all!!!!!! The priority here is the same as it's
always been and that NOT spending any money (where is the BT sports money we have
got?)
I know Arsenal all too well and trust me we would've still lost.A lot of people think this Arsenal squad isn't good enough
to win the league but I beg
to differ.Give this same squad
to Rafa Benitez or any world
class manager even without any signing before the transfer window ends and watch us play like you've never seen before. The problem in this team has
always been tactics, mentality and mismanagement. This is what has really been disturbing us for several seasons but alwas goes ignored.Mark my words that if Arsenal
get everyone they're supposed
to we're not winning the league if those three things aren't checked. We need signings but our problem is much bigger than signings.Give this same squad
to Klopp or a too manager and you'd be shocked some players who were called average will be playing differently. You know why?Strong mentality, proper management and good tactics count.
We need this, sorry but wenger will never leave unless he finnish outside top 4, you can see in this match that we do nt have game plan, i do nt know what they do on training, they are just running from side
to side with no plan, why wilshere
get injuries, simple he makes stupid runs with no plan, he
always get injured like this, same goes
to ramsey, what happened
to ramsey, last year he was our sun, now he looks like 3rd
class player, i want Bergkamp on manager position!!!
And the wose thing is that he

to world
class.
Got ta admit, we wasted money on Xhaka, why not spend the 30 + mil on a striker of
class early in the window before the price escalates, or that 17mil of perez plus 30 of xhaka and bid 50 for Lakaku, we still need a striker and the Sanchez experikent has
to stop now its enough, I need more from ozil guys, I really do, ive
always felt that, and I rate Coq over eleneny, xhaka, ramsey
Up front we have a few world -
class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world -
class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the players and system around him, which is troubling due
to our current roster and Wenger's love of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the
get - go... both of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough
to overcome such difficulties: not
to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player coming
to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment of this club's failure
to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled
to take their sideways soccer
to the next level, as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will
always make more money whereas we will
always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the team just think of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
You're very funny bro.Yet why is that upon all these stats why do I
get the feeling that if top teams in the world were given the chance
to sign only one of an in form Wilshere and in form Walcott both at their best everyone will be going for Wilshere.I keep telling people that even some of the players we rate as world
class are useless in so many stats. For example some players you rate over some players might have inferior stats as compared
to the ones you don't rate.I'd be happy if people would use stats
to.compare players
always as you do here instead of using their eyes
to judge in some cases and use stats
to justify themselves in some cases.
I
always see people purporting

class in such a clumsy manner that I
get disgusted with the whole thing.
he might of not been great but he was way better than ramsey honestly ramsey has had 3 poor games in a row, he keept giving the ball away and he's
always trying
to be fancy, he's so much better when he plays simple and
to his strengths like determintation and energy, and today the positives i took were chambers because he's a boss, the ox he's
class, wilshere is
getting back
to form, and ozil as well he looked really good.
Should this even be a topic?Giroud is a player of average quality
always surrounded by good players.I just don't get. It's as if only Arsenal fans rate him. This was a player who was bought
to be the leading striker at Arsenal and after his years of failure which many deny he's now become a super sub?How laughable is that. From failure
to super sub.If the so called world
class striker we're signing goes out with an injury for about five months who comes in then.It seems
to me people lack vision. Why is it
always Giroud Giroud Giroud? After so many seasons people are still debating what souldn't even be debatable.I've lost count of the number of times he's been talked about here. This is the problem with our club. It's just not ruthless. This is a player who should have been gone long ago but due
to him being French he still
gets the chances. We won't miss him when he goes and I'd like
to see if he'd stand out in a smaller club.
Let's
get real here.It is very unlikely that ANY professional player will ever say anything derogatory about a teammate that has just left the club.If Jack had said about Coq - «Grew up playing with him in the Youth Team and have fond memories of a player they though he had very limited ability he
always gave his all.Very surprised and disappointed the club never invested in a World
Class defensive midfielder that we have quite obviously been lacking for a number of seasons and would no doubt have improved the defensive weakness we have shown over a number of seasons» we would have echoed his thoughts entirely. If he had said about Theo - «A player who should have been so much better than he ended up being. He had everything needed to be a prolific player for our club but I can understand the fans frustrations with his continued lack - lustre performances and total lack of a football brain.I think this is best explained by the managers preference to play a player of such limited ability as Alex Iwobi in front of Theo pretty much says it all» we again would have all nodded our agreement.Although Jack never mentioned Alexis Sanchez I would imagine something along the lines of «If the Manager had not persisted with players with such limited ability such as Francis and Theo and instead bought the world class players needed into the club then Sanchez would still most likely be here. The fans must wonder what the hell goes on at the club as they pay fortunes for the privalage of following our club but it seems the millions generated ends up purchasing a new Texas Ranch for the Owner or in a yearly renumeration of # 9million pounds to our manager&ra

This is an incredibly difficult question
to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only
to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel
to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards
to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems
to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early
to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency
to get himself in trouble when he
gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs
to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious
to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently
to justify): that being said, I've
always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow
to ever boss the midfield and he tends
to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did
get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it
always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger
always seemed
to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready
to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him
to use Francis and then he had the nerve
to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary
to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed
to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends
to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little
to no sense considering what he has
to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford
to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try
to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards
to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair
to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went
to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had
to choose one of those 3 players
to stay on it would be Ox due
to his potential as a plausible alternative
to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue
to use that formation... in Sanchez, we
get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due
to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem
to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world -
class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold
to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction
to heroin without the benefits
I am pissed today hearing about Olivier Giroud three year contract and salary he is earning. That is unfair because Giroud does not deserve it.He has not worked
to show that he deserves it.We should look at the quality snd output of our players before paying them.Well its too late now so we should look forward. We do nt need stats
to even tell us that Girouf is usually average for arsenal than good at most times.I would have sold him if i was Wenger because he does not deserve
to be leading the line still after 3 years and i doubt he will like
to warm the bench. He is very lucky
to have Wenger as a coach of arsenal london fc.Arsenal has not moved forward because we think
getting rid of players is a bad thing. We
always hesitate when it comes
to selling players we do nt need.Arsenal need a world
class cf not a world
class cf.Its is time
to move forward by addressing our mistakes.Since Van persie left we have needed a cf and ifBenzema is available we need
to get rid of who we do nt need so that we move forward.Arsenal do not need Giroud though many may be against my speech.Once the premier league starts and Giroud is our main cf it shows that Wenger has not learnt from his mistakes.Just as we
got Cech who
to me was a need he needs
to just find as a reliable and clinical cf.
would say that for not beating Chelsea, for loosing
to Monaco, swansea.and the question that rolls down my mind is, why do we find it difficult breaking those defences if we are as good as we have choosen
to believe we are.look all round and I just couldnt pick any of our players that could create a moment of sheer
class which a team needs is such cases.I've
always maintain that we've
got too many average players and a coach who have lost it tactically competing in modern football.
Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but
to be considered the best you have
to bring more than just assists
to the table... for me, a top player has
to possess a more well - rounded game, which doesn't mean they need
to be a beast on both ends of the pitch, but they must have the ability
to take their game
to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him
to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed
to get the best of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what has happened in the meantime, but it's important
to make note of a few things: (1) his best year was a transition year for many of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out of position and by not acquiring world -
class striker and / or right - side forward that would best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances
to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss of Cazorla, who took a lot of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came
to getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a good chunk of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned
to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy for the man because he has
always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal...
to me that goes directly
to this club's inability
to surround him with the necessary players
to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type of player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted because they had a chance
to do something special, but they didn't have it in them... there is no one that better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments of greatness undercut by long periods of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
whatever you think of ramsey... and in my books he is a decent b2b but certainly not top
class... he is not going
to control the area between edge of box and centre line which is what all great DMs do... nor has coquelin proved that
to me... he is a guttusso type player and has improved massively in that role... not convinced it is what will take us
to challenging for titles however which is why a cavalho type DM is a needed addition especially as arteta and flamini are obviously not up
to the task... but have
always said that wengers job is
to get best out of ozil santi and wilshere who are the real creative world
class strengths of this squad... they need protection behind them and options in front... at moment the real worry is that wenger will continue
to use mertesakher at CB and fail
to bring in quality striker... so the song remains the same... without quality DM and attacking option we will be trying
to retain 3rd place and reach qf of cl
i love the way you
always find players that are not quite world -
class (never mind that they might also not be quite good enough for us
to win PL as long as they can
get us the CL bounty that comes with our 4th position trophy).
Kos was
class last night
always looking
to pass forward and drive forward from the back and he
got the same as ramsey: / Ozil once again showing his
class Walcott worked hard as well BFG actually good game against top opposition without
getting caught out
to far up field Bellerin needs
to concentrate a bit more on his defending of late but you can let him off as hes still only 20
That is bye bye 4 sanogo i dnt thnk he wil eva come back and am happy about that jst bcoz wenger usd
to mould young playrs into world
class stars does nt mean he is
always right if we
get another ambitious coach some of these playrz wont be seen even around emirates... lucky
to him he is French... imagine sanogo was a chinese hehe!
players like Ozil
always present the fans with a bit of a conundrum, especially when times are tough... if you look around the sporting world every once in awhile there emerges a player with incredible skill, like Ozil, Matt Sundin or even Jay Cutler, who have a different way about themselves... their movement seemed almost too lackadaisical, so much so that it seemed
to suggest indifference or even disinterest on the part of the player... their posture
always appears somewhat mopey and they generally have an unflattering «sour puss» expression on their face... for some their above average skills are enough
to keep them squarely in the mix, as their respective teams try desperately
to find a way
to get the best out of them visa vie player acquisitions or the reworking of tactics... when things go according
to planned the fans usually find a way
to accept their unique disposition, whereas when things go awry they become easy targets for fans and pundits alike... in the case of Ozil and Sundin, their successes on the international stage and / or with their former teams led many
to conclude that if we surrounded such talented individuals with players that have those skills that would most likely bring the best of these players success would surely follow... unfortunately both the Maple Leafs and our club chose
to adopt half - measures, as each were being run by corporations who valued profitability over providing the best possible product on the field... for them, they cared more about shirt sales and season tickets than doing whatever was necessary... this isn't, by any stretch, an attempt
to absolve Ozil of any responsibility for his failures on the pitch... there is no doubt oftentimes his efforts were underwhelming,
to say the least, but this club has been inept when it comes
to providing this prolific passer with the kind of players necessary for him
to flourish... with our poor man's version of Benzema up front, the headless chickens in Walcott, the younger Ox and Welbeck occupying wide positions far too often and the fact that Carzola, who provided Ozil with great service and more freedom
to roam, was never truly replaced, the only real skilled outlet on the pitch was Sanchez... remember
to be considered a world -
class set - up man goals need
to be scored and for much of his time here he has been surrounded by some incredibly inept finishers... in the end, I'm not sure how long he will be in North London, recent sentiments and his present contract situation seem
to suggest that he will depart at season's end, but how tragic would it be if once again we didn't put our best foot forward and failed
to make those moves that could have brought championship football back
to our once beloved club... so when you think about this uniquely skilled player don't be so quick
to shift all the blame on his shoulders because he will not be the first or the last highly skilled player
to find disappointment at the Emirates if we don't rid the club of those individuals that are truly
to blame for our current woes
This is very interesting.I look at the number of striking options in our team and i wonder how Wenger will be signing a cf.However as i keep saying a cf is a need not a want. And needs are more important than wants. We have needed a World
class cf since Robin Van P. Left.Just look at the feeling you
get when you have a world
class goalkeeper e.g Cech in the team. You feel relieved you know why?Its because the goalkeeper is very reliable, very talented and consistent.Imagine the feeling you would have when having a world
class cf in the team. You feel very relieved you know why?its because the cf is very consistent, is super talented, will at most times finish off chances and will mostly create moments of magic.Arsenal need a world
class cf so as
to have that sense of reliability and
to not put too much pressure on the midfield
to always create chances for them.We neeed that consistency infront of goal
to excel.Right now arsenal's centre forwards are very inconsistent, unreliable at most times and are not very clinical. We need a world
class striker so that at least if the team is not performing he can take control and do something out of nothing. You need
to understand the benefits of having a world
class cf its not just about goals or talent but about being a leader of the attack, a strong scoring mentality and also the will
to be consistent.World
class cf's give your attack the ish factor.
33 attempts at goal 75 % possession and lose comfortably it can only happen
to arsenal it would be funny if not so tragic and I'm for one not buying the reason we lost is because of De Gea it's as much poor finishing as it is great goal keeping more aggression with the chances and you score I don't care who's in goal just smash it doesn't have
to look pretty and I don't have
to say very much about the defending it's schoolboy stuff all this talk about koscielny (bosscielny) never
got that isn't physical enough
to be an Adams or Campbell
gets muscled off the ball far too often he's a good player don't
get me wrong but he ain't world
class and definitely isn't a leader I'd replace that whole back line and drop xhaka and ramsey for new signings yeah ramsey set up a nice goal but that kid can not hit water if he fell out of a boat his shooting is awful
always sky's them very frustrating player.
The scale is
always surprising — about $ 8,000 a year for a
Class - A prospect, are you fu — but we've all
gotten used
to it.
It would be the highest form of injustice
to sell Walcott and keep Welbeck and Giroud. What an overrated bunch of players we have in our team.No wonder 95 % of Arsenal players
always fade away in other teams when they leave. If we are selling Walcott then why aren't we doing the same
to Giroud and Welbeck.Someone should tell me why Walcott leaves but they should stay.I know many fans feel Walcott hasn't yet turned out
to be world
class and all that but looking at his goals it's fair
to say he's done his bit.If you sell a player in the same scenario as Walcott you sell him because he failed. But have Giroud and Welbeck not failed at what they were supposed
to do?Arsenal is such a stubborn club.It looks like the stories of Eduardo and Van Persie have taught us nothing really.Their injuries denied us the trophies as we had no capable back ups.If Laca
gets injured we are doomed mark my words.
well every season I cme with the same optimism that nxt season is our year.then we face the so called big boys, we
get hammered and I
always ask myself how and why were we nt able
to win.then wenger after an accidental twiq
to the squad finds the reason why ARSENAL was poor.I.e emergence of coq showed him that we needed a world
class dm addition what does he do settles for average.this season also striking department pissnpoor.I love iwobi but his emergence shows neednof a world
class player there.now, every year I sit hoping wenger learns but I hve learned that he wilp not learn.the guys is blind just seeing the favourisim in the club shows that.his blind with faith and fears benching his favourite players.we need someone qho will see the problem and rectify it, pple hve pointed out for him the problm yet he he is still blind.I hope he prooves me wrong but I wouldn't entertain another year of ifs and thebbiggest if will be why didn't we change guard.if fans will entertain another year of heroic fourth place run in, all I can say webr killing our club open ur eyes before reality gives us a part two coz its has realy kicked us in the gut this season showing us the truth.its arsenal I I love coyg!!
We have
got to start making all positions, not just 1or2, filled by world
class internationals.Weak links ie not up
to scratch average players has been our problem since the invincibles.Teams with the best players nearly now
always win the league, Manure, Shitty and Chelsky have proved that since those heady Arsenal times. The new manager, when he comes, will want
to know what budget he'll have so The board will have
to loosen their purse strings if they want success with the new manager or the old.
Always kept his
class, never stooped down
to their level, every year
got his teams
to perform
to the maximum of their ability, at some point we had chamakh leading the line for us and we almost won the league, so be thankful for Giroud Wenger is building something
to win the league and champions league before he's off, the wrinkles on his face proves his desire for winning, relax and lets watch this art unfold... don't keep stressing in the meantime.
Yh right.Dont talk like that its irritating like the are no strikers out there better than him.It is a saying that the truth will set you free.Giroud is on the level of average but arsenal have made him look very good only a few will see it.Those who actually watch his every move even without the ball and on it.If i mention the strikers i will take over Giroud some of you here will call me stupid.Listen if Wenger cant sign a striker he should just
get Charlie Austin he can finish off chances and he is a good striker, He can be world
class if he works hard.Only a matter of time before he proves
to the world what they have been but its like just his name does not excite fans.He is even light ahead of Giroud and a neutral would be saying the same thing if he was watching them on tv
always.
World
class talent like Aguero will
always get chances but the fact is we limited him and City
to half chances for the majority of the game.
