I made a valiant effort to dress up and let my accessories be distracting, I tried hiding
with an over-sized sweater; I even went to my three or four staple
outfits that
always work.
During the month when I'm super busy
with work, trips, and what not I
always rely on a few go - to
outfits to get me through the week.
This
outfit did me well as I dashed from coffee meetings at the Covent Garden hotel, to the streets of Soho (this
outfit actually got a lot of attention which is
always an amusing and overwhelming aspect of fashion week), to the Apartment to trade tales
with my blogging friends, catch up on
work and emails, and to get a moments rest before the afternoon and evenings events kicked off.
As spring approaches, I'm
always on the lookout for spring
outfit ideas and cute pieces that will
work with what is already in my closet.
Well my style has
always been about easy dressing, so I chose this midi dress as I felt blended beautifully
with the background and in other words H&M merging
with Bangalore (Silly connections the brain makes) I also experimented
with the studded block mule heels, which is not something that I would instantly go for but I liked how it
worked with the
outfit.
The Rebel
works with pretty much every
outfit, though, and I
always feel put together when I throw it on.
It actually gives me more of a creative outlet in fashion since it requires me to
work with a limited amount of clothing styles, yet create numerous stylish
outfits with them, and I
always enjoy a good challenge.
I'm
always a fan of a simple, high - quality pearl necklace; a larger statement necklace would also
work provided that it fits
with the rest of the
outfit.

I've
always had 2 pinafore
outfits in mind since the pinafore trend resurfaced, this
work style look and another
with a beret perhaps (that high school look we all disliked), i think more casual pinafores like this patchwork denim pinafore would do.
I normally try and make do
with just one bag, which can sometimes
work but doesn't
always go
with every
outfit for every occasion.

For family photos, I
always say start
with something that YOU feel most comfortable in and that you like and flatters you, and then
work your kids
outfits around that.

with a black cardigan (not shown) for casual Friday at
work, since it's
always freezing cold in the office!

You know I'm an advocate for
working with our bodies to create the perfect balance, which
always results in a more polished and put together
outfit!
I also look at winter as a good opportunity to buy a hard wearing basic items that go
with a million different
outfits — trends may come and go but essential items will
always work in your wardrobe.

with blood red boots.

with «just right» combos, I nearly
always say, «This is how I see it today.
I
always try to still write a strong narrative
with those posts, and since so many of you like the wear - to -
work posts more than general

work wardrobe when shooting looks.
