STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A new poll shows Rep. Daniel Donovan is popular
among voters in the district, and a Democrat would have a hard time winning in November's election.
Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney, a conservative Republican running for Congress in upstate New York, has consistently said she will vote for her party's presidential candidate, Donald J. Trump, who has polled strongly against Hillary Clinton
among voters in her district.

in a heavily Jewish New York congressional
district that had been occupied by a Democrat for nearly 90 years was a sign of trouble between Obama and American Jews,
among the most reliably Democratic
voters in the nation.

voters (especially suburban women) from the Republicans to the Democrats could have a much broader impact on the fight for control of the House.
The first major poll
in the race between U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm and his challenger Domenic Recchia showed the incumbent clinging to a slim four - point lead
among likely
voters in the 11th Congressional
District (Brooklyn - Staten Island), but both sides said they see a silver lining buried within the numbers.
Others, however, sided with Lancman, who was expected to do especially well
among Jewish
voters in the
district.

voters, but maintains a 7 - point lead
in the Brooklyn portion of the
district, according to the Siena Poll.
King said that so far, he doesn't feel a wave of anger at Trump
