Seems unnecessary with such a small
amount of liquid left.
I have to agree with a previous poster on
the amount of liquid left in the bottom of the pan after cooking.
Not exact matches
Our experiments with the average
amount of liquid (about 2 cups)
left us with about two inches
of excess water that was goopy and viscous, in part due to starch being released by amaranth as it cooks.
You can
leave it out the banana if you are not a fan, but you may want to then reduce the
amount of liquid to keep it from being more like strawberry chocolate milk.
If you are unsure about the
amount of flour,
leave it for a couple
of mins and watch it soak all that
liquid in!
I made it with gluten free brown rice pasta and did not need to adjust the
liquid at all as the pasta cook time was 11 minutes — just the right
amount of liquid was
left plus perfect for leftovers since rice pasta soaks up so much as it cools!
You can replace up to 20 %
of the flour called for in a recipe with Coconut Flour, adding an equivalent
amount of additional
liquid to the recipe (it tends to absorb
liquid from the other ingredients which can
leave your baked goods dry).
The trick I learned recently is to MASSAGE THE KALE - I slice the whole
leaves thinly, add a small
amount of whatever
liquid and massage / knead it like bread (or sauerkraut).
