In the first
section of this essay, in response to Griffin's objections to the
analysis of «X is omnipotent» presupposed in Mackie's original challenge to Christian theism, we revised that
analysis to read: «X is omnipotent means «It is within X's power to
bring about any state of affairs (S) where X's
bringing al) out S is logically possible.»
In Chapter 1,
Section 1, Briggs sets the pace when he
brings a critical tenor to his
analysis of the working relationship of parents, professionals and other agencies.
