In a recent national survey, Pet finder, the respected national
organization where we

animal shelter that needs help placing a German Shepherd in their care by cross
posting the dog's story on our website and other social media outlets, as well as aiding in the adoption application process, including home visitations, transportation and meetings between adopters and dogs.
The HSUS runs a related photo contest that allows people to
post photos of their pets online, then solicit votes at $ 1 apiece to raise money for an eligible
animal welfare
organization's spay / neuter program.
However, members must be legitimately operating as an
animal shelter, rescue or adoption
organization (large or small), and
post your adoptable pets in a not - for - profit manner.
Late last week, Nathan Winograd
posted a letter that he received from the Upper Peninsula
Animal Welfare Shelter in Marquette, MI (UPAWS — this
organization was formerly called the Marquette County Humane Society but recently changed their name because people thought they were associated with HSUS, which they are not).
Email local shelters, humane societies and pet
organizations (include pertinent details only per above, and most such groups will re-send it to their list of volunteers to keep a lookout for the
animal, and they may
post it on their web site.
We will freely and happily assist you with flyers, putting you in touch with various
animal organizations and shelters, being a «friend» to help you look for your lost pet,
posting a notice up on our website etc..
Animal rescue
organizations can
post their transport needs on the website, where they will be paired with pilots who are available to fly.
It's one of the most commonly asked questions about social media: How frequently, and at what times, should our shelter or rescue
organization post to social media to get the best results for our
animals?
In other words,
animal organizations should
post to their Facebook pages with the frequency that exposes their pets and their cause to the largest appropriate audience.
