My goal for JARR is to become a
nationally recognized pioneering organization that
rescues farmed and companion
animals, and that other
animal advocates look to as a reputable
group to become involved with.
The ISPCA is a national charity and was established in May 1949, by a
group of committed volunteers from across Ireland, and since then the ISPCA has worked locally and
nationally rescuing, rehabilitating and responsibly re-homing cruelly treated and neglected
animals.
Dr. Hetts and Estep have for many years lectured both
nationally and internationally to a variety of professional and lay
groups, including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, veterinary students, groomers, kennel and day care owners, pet sitters, dog trainers, breed and breed
rescue groups,
animal shelters, humane societies,
animal control agencies, mediators (regarding barking dog problems), and more recently public service workers who are likely to encounter dogs (e.g. postal carriers, delivery people, meter readers, etc.).
