The developer hasn't revealed much media
for the PC / Mac
game yet, but the details it's shared sounds promising: pencil - drawn 2D sprites and backgrounds animated with frame - by - frame
animation, seven levels amd in «the heart of the
modern urban jungle», and two - player co-op with collaborative attacks.
This position is suitable only
for a firmly experienced
game animator, who knows what a full
modern development cycle demands and doesn't need to be taught the basics of a
modern game animation pipeline.

It's got all the bells and whistles we've come to expect out of a
modern action
game; plenty of fancy effects, stunning set pieces and vistas, fantastic
animations, and
for the most part, high quality textures.
It was developed by an eight - person team at Reflections (known primarily
for their driving
games) as an experiment in procedural character
animation, and seemed to carry a torch
for the older 3D Rayman
games more than anything out of Ubisoft's
modern catalog.
This
modern day treasure hunters
animations are beautifully fluid, everthing from his running, his brutal hand - to - hand moves, and his deadly leaping about makes
for a fantastically organic experience, it all transitions very smoothly as well, making the
game such a delight to play.
Though I might even say it controls even more fluidly than the classic Genesis
games, and the fact that it's on
modern hardware means that, even though it's still 16 - bits, it can allow
for far more complex and robust
animations.
I was immediately taken aback by just how good Monster Hunter looks on a
modern console — the
game's lush environments and smooth
animations were gorgeous and cinematic in a way that the 3DS simply didn't allow
for.
