It is hard sometimes to shake the feeling that this live - action Disney adaptation is relying too much
on the 1991
animation, to the
point that it almost feels like an extended version of that film; but even so, it offers a fresh and modern
look at the classic story that makes it worth it.

It's also quite a good -
looking game, with solid character modeling and mech design, excellent scripted moments and
animation, explosive and beautiful lighting and special effects, and
on point sci - fi aesthetic and environments.
The
animations are mostly
on point, too, but sometimes it's all too clear you're
looking at 3D models, rather than hand - drawn
animation.
In addition, the
animations on the ground
look awkward and stiff to the
point of silliness, which is a huge contrast to the near - perfect motion capture when the fighters are
on their feet.
