In 2011,
an anthology of flash fiction I co-edited, Fast Forward: The Mix Tape, was a finalist for a Colorado Book Award — but they didn't have a category for flash fiction, so it had to go in «literary fiction» and compete against two novels!
The final story — «Upwardly Mobile», about a mobile library — was chosen for inclusion in Change the Ending,
an anthology of flash fiction about the future of public life.

anthologies in a more traditional way (write - > slush pile - > accept or reject - > contract - > payment - > promotion).
Creativity and diversity come to this
anthology in both content and form, with
flash fiction joining Manifest West's standard genres
of creative nonfiction, short
fiction, and poetry.
The
anthology will consist
of short stories (
flash fiction included), poetry, essays, artwork, or any other woman and / or feminist centered creative work.

Publish something every month (at least 12 publications)-- most
of these will probably be short stories or
flash fiction anthologies, but I also intend to be working on some longer - format
fiction, and probably some non-
fiction too.
