But neither does the prima facie availability
of avenues
of escape imply that one who sets
out on one
of those paths will come ultimately to
anything but dead ends, impassable swamps, fatal falls from darkened cliffs, or the wandering
circles of the lost explorer.
I fear, at times, that our concept
of «design» and «planning» have strayed so far from meaning that we've found ourselves drawing fancy
circles and triangles and talking in jargony - architecture - jibberish just because we're afraid we might be found
out: that maybe what we're doing isn't really doing
anything.»
